This Valentine’s Day, in a move that is meant to leave Pramod Mutalik and his ilk red-faced, a campaign is on to gift them with carton loads of pink chaddis.

His team just got a costume…

A “consortium of pub-going, loose and forward women”, still seething under Pramod Mutalik’s moral policing and hectoring, will collect chaddis from across the country and courier them to the Sri Rama Sena’s Bangalore office by V-Day. This is the revenge of the urban woman, ‘pink undergarment’ her symbol of annoyance.

The ‘Pink Chaddi Campaign’ was kicked off on Febraury 5 to protest the Sena’s warning against celebrating Valentine’s Day and the attacks on women in Mangalore. Though it started off in the e-world among members of a social networking group, it has now taken a life of its own and is out on the streets.

People have signed up to drop chaddis at collection points in their cities, which will be sent to Bangalore. Those who have signed up also plan to go to pubs with their partners or friends on V-Day. Most of the members don’t drink and some haven’t ever visited a pub, but the spirit is to band together against moral policing and curbs on women’s freedom.

Not content with running riot at a Mangalore pub, the Sri Rama Sene has now turned its wrath on Valentine’s Day. Terming it ‘anti-Indian culture’, it has warned people of attack if they celebrate it. At this rate, it’ll take all the fun out of Feb. 14. It has warned educational institutions, restaurants and other organizations not to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The warning applies to shops, which sell Valentine gifts and greetings.

The activists got a shot in the arm, with their chief Pramod Mutalik (Indian DADDY) and Mangalore pub attackers out on conditional bail. After his release from prison, SRS chief Pramod Mutalik said ‘‘Valentine’s Day is definitely not Indian culture. We will not allow celebration of that day in any form in the state.”

Because he doesn’t have any good girl friends….but a team of punks.

He said he would submit a memorandum to the chief minister, home minister and the governor on Tuesday asking them to stop the observance of the day. He further said: ‘‘We will inform the police department, besides cautioning hotels and other establishments not to celebrate it and create awareness among the youth through pamphlets.’’

He should be exiled… to Arabian Sea.

SRS state convener Gangadhar Kulkarni was far more aggressive. He told reporters in Hubli: ‘‘If people celebrate the day despite our warning, then we will definitely attack them.’’ As far as pubs are concerned, SRS is adamant on its stand. When asked about its course of action if government refuses to stop pubs, Mutalik said: “In such a situation, countering pub culture needs a different strategy. We are discussing the strategy at our party meeting in Bangalore on Wednesday.’’

What party, what people? bloody terrorists..

Mutalik(Indian DADDY) said he was happy that the Sene is in the news after the pub attack. However, he regretted the way the girls were attacked, but wondered whether their parents approve the culture the youngsters were following.

He should be sent to Pakistan because he belongs to that burka culture….

Does she have to take permission from these so called ‘Moral Policemen’ before she indulges in it?

These are the questions girls ask me and i have to answer them because they are my girl friends. Ofcourse, we need to answer before we start calling ourselves a ‘Progressive Society’. This is not the first time that we’ve heard of such incidents wherein girls and women have been manhandled or even beaten up. Earlier too there have been similar incidents involving the same kind of idiots who have nothing better to do in life than take up law in their hands. Believe it or not but I’m quite convinced that these are the same kind of people who commit crimes against women. Crimes like rape, molestation, eve teasing etc etc. If these guys were so righteous I would like to see them protecting women on our streets rather than what they are doing right now. Not just this if they were so righteous why don’t do something against Bollywood where women are shown drinking in the movies. They can’t. They don’t have the spunks to take on such biggies.

But women being beaten up inside a pub is a different story. That’s news, for sure. And this is exactly what this is all about. Being in the news.

But beyond this, will these guys be punished as per the law? I’m not so sure. And that’s because people who have been arrested have their umbilical cord linked to the BJP which is in power in Karnataka. I think these guys should be seriously punished and put behind bars for atleast 5 years.
